Learn more about how 4G broadband works here and what's different about a 4G broadband service here.
We at 4G Internet offer 4G broadband services delivered by both EE and Vodafone, the two market-leading network operators in the UK. You can quickly check to see if your location is covered by either or both networks by clicking here for EE and/or here for Vodafone. Just enter your 7 digit postcode on each webpage - and don't forget to select 4G! You'll be told whether your postcode has 4G coverage from each network and shown a detailed map of your location.
Please note! The coverage maps from Vodafone and EE are centred on your 7 digit postcode and not on your individual property. As some postcode areas are quite large - especially in rural locations where properties are quite scattered - it is therefore important for you to zoom in on those coverage maps to identify exactly where your property to see whether it falls within the coverage of either 4G service. If you need help doing this, just give us a call on 03333 447700.
Don't worry if you're told that 4G is only available "outdoors" - because we fit an external antenna, which pipes the 4G signal from outside to in.
4G coverage is being extended quite literally week by week, so even if your location is not covered right at this moment, it's well worth checking back on a very regular basis.
Our market-leading range of 4G Internet packages start from as little as £25.00 per month. Each offers a fixed amount of data per month for download and upload - just like minutes on a Pay As You Go mobile phone account.
So whether you're a light user just wanting to email, browse the web and shop online, or have higher demands and are looking to download movies, stream video or watch catch-up TV, we've got a package that's right for you.
All our 4G Internet packages have either a minimum 12 month (for Vodafone) or 18 month (for EE) contract length, but once that's completed, the equipment is yours to keep, no matter whether you choose to extend your service or not. **
** Please note that, if you have made use of a government subsidy scheme to get set up on our service, you will NOT own the equipment provided.
This is because you personally won't have paid for it - the capital cost of the equipment provided in order for you to be able to receive the service will have been fully funded by government grant. Therefore, if you move out from the premises, you will be obliged to leave the equipment behind for the next occupier.
It's unfortunately impossible to guarantee the speeds that a 4G internet connection will deliver at your property, because performance depends on so many factors, including your proximity to the nearest mast. Theoretically and under perfect conditions, 4G broadband can offer simply blistering speeds of up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload - but in the real world, such levels are very unlikely.
However, the speeds delivered by 4G networks are improving all the time and the latest independent research from both OFCOM and Speedtest.net shows today's average 4G speeds across the UK as being around 20 Mbps for download and around 10 Mbps for upload - which is more than sufficient for any typical internet-based activities. Bear in mind that those 4G speeds are average - and not the "up to" or maximum possible speeds quoted by other broadband providers.
You can find useful information on the average speeds today being delivered by 4G networks by clicking here. And if you'd like to read about what a huge difference our 4G broadband service has made to some of our very satisfied customers, please click here.
It's obviously important to maximise 4G signal reception at your location, which is why in most cases we strongly recommend the fitting of an external 4G antenna to your property to deliver optimum performance.
As with all internet services, actual speeds achieved also depend on many other factors, such as the demand on the internet resource you're looking for and network congestion at the time.
Our professional installation service operates on a true nationwide basis, so normally we can get your 4G Internet service set up within just a couple of weeks from date of order.
Total set-up costs to get you up and running are a maximum of £380 inc VAT - and that covers everything you'll need, including professional set-up and installation of a high gain directional external 4G antenna and a market-leading internal 4G modem/WiFi router to ensure optimum performance.
Here's a simple breakdown of the start-up costs involved in getting on our 4G broadband service - if you'd like more detail on these, or on the equipment we'll provide and install at your premises, please click here.
- High gain directional external 4G antenna £110.00 inc VAT **
- Internal 4G modem/Wifi router £100.00 inc VAT
- Network SIM card & account activation £40.00 inc VAT
- Delivery (UK mainland) £10.00 inc VAT
- Professional set-up & installation £120.00 inc VAT **
After that, all you'll have to pay is the monthly charge for your choice of 4G Internet package, as shown above!
** If you're in a location with a strong 4G signal, you may not even need an external antenna and therefore - because it's so easy to set up our 4G modem/Wifi router - you won't need our installation service either. So your start-up costs could be as low as £150 inc VAT!
However... you may well qualify for a government subsidy!
If so and if you're in an area with coverage for our 4G services, you'll get set up and installed for no cost at all!
Call us now on 03333 447700 and we'll be happy to help you apply.
Please note that the installation of an external 4G antenna is mandatory if your equipment is supplied under any Government subsidy scheme.
Broadband delivered over 4G has the ability to dramatically transform people's lives - or at least remove a huge amount of frustration. It's a fast, reliable and cost-effective service that's very quick and easy to set up and install.
However, don't just take our word for it. Find out exactly how we've helped a family in Kent and a household in Northumberland finally get on the right side of the digital divide - and how quickly and cost-effectively we did it - by clicking here.
This depends on what your broadband connection is used for in your property and also just as importantly, how many people are using it.
Below you'll find a handy table that shows how much data some common online activities use. Bear in mind that these figures are only approximations - your actual usage is likely to be around these amounts, but could be more or less, dependant upon a number of variables.
Our advice is to start off with a monthly data package towards the lower end of your expected usage - you can always add extra data to your current month's allowance with a Data Bolt-On if you need to. Plus it's very easy to upgrade your monthly package to one with more data if it becomes necessary - just give us a call on 03333 447700 and we'll sort this out for you.
|Online Activity||Data Consumption|
|One hour of web browsing||10MB - 25MB|
|One hour of Facebook||20MB|
|Downloading one music track||4MB|
|Downloading a non-HD movie or TV program||700MB - 1GB|
|Downloading an HD movie or TV program||4GB|
|Streaming 30 minutes of Youtube videos||175MB|
|Streaming 1 hour of music or radio||150MB|
|Streaming 1 hour of non-HD video||250MB - 500MB|
|Streaming 1 hour of HD video||2GB|

All of our monthly packages allow you to stay in full control of your 4G Internet account and your monthly data usage. And if you ever do find you've used up your monthly data allowance, don't worry! It's really quick and easy to buy a Data Bolt-On in any given month.
Better yet, to make things as cost-effective and flexible as possible, Data Bolt-Ons are available in a range of sizes - so you only need to buy exactly what you need.
The way you do this differs slightly, dependant upon which network (EE or Vodafone) your service is delivered through
If you're on one of our EE packages, things couldn't be simpler. At any time you're able to log into your My EE account online (click here to do so), view your live monthly data usage and make a one-click monthly purchase of a Data Bolt-On if necessary
If you're on one of our Vodafone packages, things are different - but just as easy. You'll get email and/or text alerts informing you as you approach your monthly data limit and if you want to buy a monthly Data Bolt-On (or want more detail on your exact data usage in the current month), just give us a call on 03333 447700 at any time of the day or night. Our Helpdesk will instantly able to add a Data Bolt-On to your account or provide you with the information you want.
Please also note that with our Vodafone packages, you cannot add a Data Bolt-On on the last day of any month - so make sure that if you think you're going to need a Data Bolt-On, you get one applied no later than the penultimate day of the month.
For more on Data Bolt-Ons including pricing, please click here.
Of course, if you find that you're needing to add Data Bolt-Ons most months, it would almost certainly be more cost-effective for you to upgrade your account to one with a higher monthly data allowance. Doing this is easy...
If you're on one of our EE packages, just log into your My EE account online by clicking here and upgrade to the package you want once you're logged in.

At 4G Internet, we fully understand that getting a premises connected up to fast and robust broadband service may only be half the answer. These days, there's a growing need to have good broadband connectivity throughout that property - either via hard-wired ethernet or wireless WiFi - because of the number of devices that you may need to connect.
PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, smart TVs, set-top boxes, games consoles... the list is evergrowing. Some of those devices may typically be located a long way away from your 4G modem/WiFi router and so only within range of a weak WiFi signal. This problem can be exacerbated dependant on the construction of internal walls - older buildings may have thick stone walls, whereas newer ones may feature internal metallised insulation, both of which can significantly diminish WiFi signal strength.
Fortunately, we at 4G Internet have a number of extremely cost-effective and easy-to-install solutions available to resolve such issues completely. Whether it's a question of simply sourcing an extra wireless access point or even utilising your mains electricity circuit to distribute your broadband service around your premises, we have the answers.

We've already shown you how 4G is not just about smartphones, because, provided your location is within coverage, our 4G broadband packages can provide fast and robust internet connectivity to your home or business.
However, 4G broadband is even more versatile than that. Because the equipment needed to receive our 4G services is so easy to transport and set up and because 4G coverage is expanding so rapidly, there are many other uses that our 4G broadband can be put to.
Do your broadband requirements fall into any of the following categories?

- You're a business looking to have very cost-effective back-up connectivity, in the event that traditional connectivity fails
- You're a business needing to monitor remote locations over IP in areas where traditional broadband services simply don't reach
If so, we can almost certainly help! Click here to learn more about the flexibility of our 4G broadband services and how they may well provide the ideal solution for your connectivity needs.
